Communication: This is all about communication and interaction between individual or in a group.
1. Able to understand the usage of appropriate communication.
2. To Understand the importance of Speech Sounds and implementing it to improve Pronunciation
3. Able to articulate clearly and enunciate each sound.
4. How and why to show Empathy, and the Willingness to assist
5. How to handle different kinds of individual
6. How to build Rapport

Basically i have ppt focused on the communication in customer relationship which i give presentation in my company, so we can make changes in the ppt mainly focusing on school children accordingly. I think this kind of session will be help full for both word and a mentor.

Hi Gugandeepak,

Can you change the name of the this thread to "*** - Communication skills" as there could be many sessions in communication skills?
Also if you can post the link to your presentation it will be good for others to view and add their comment.

Hi Deepak,
Communication skills is a great idea, however the CR communication skills would generally talk more about tone, grammar, articulate, intonation, rate of speech, Usage of words, pronunciation and are mostly in English. We can use these as objectives and design activities/games to improve comm skills like questioning, tone, body language choice of words etc. GDs, Debates, prepared speeches would help I feel. What do you think?

Lavi.

Hi Lavi,

Great Idea I agree with you!! rather than giving presentations. GD's, Debates etc will be much interactive sessions but before that we should make them to understand what is communication? and how we should communicate with others.

GD is a good idea for developing communication skills.
In my opinion, no need to teach theoretically about 'communication skill', before the GD. However, general instruction about GD (or whatever session) is required. After GD or other presenting activities, we should give them a 'postmortem' session, based on the observation. That will be a practical 'communication skill' session for them.

I agree with you Sami.. Siva has posted a discussion with similar title. Debates are always a way to improve communication!
