yes if the workshop theme is creative thinking..lets not prepare any sessions for the workshop. We go only with materials and let wards decide on what to do....i might be talking silly but as priya rightly said in her mail we cannot teach creativity, we should plan sessions to find the creativity hidden in wards..

can we go to work shop confidently and ask wards to do what they like to do and there lets find what they have done differently???

we will only give the materials and lets wards decide what they what to do and they can also teach us...lets not force the wards to do this and do that..each mentor will come up with some ideas and let mentors(2 member) will have a stall..wards can go anywhere and choose any thing..the only restriction we going to have is food at correct time...if a wards wish to have his own stall he can have it..lets form a team of 2 members and come up with our own ideas. in this way each mentor will have a responsibility. I am pretty sure this will really work out.

sample ideas,

crafts
paper cutting
clay art
plaster of paris art
puzzles
logical reasoning
face painting
using waste materials effectively
...
....

add your ideas..

Dilip,

I agree with you. In addition to this, we can also try to fulfil their aspirations/interests and introduce certain things that they might not known.

Few more ideas,

1. Learning a new language, such as Hindi (One of the wards is interested and asked me to teach him)
2. Learning basics of computer (if we could set up the computer systems before WS we can do this)
3. Photography
4. Pattern Designing
5. Collection of materials such as coins, stamps, etc., (few of us might have this as hobby, we can introduce it to wards)
6. Interior decoration, a kind of event like bay/cubicle decoration (generic or could be based on a theme like festivals of India)
