பேச்சுப் போட்டி

Idea proposed by Narayanasami: பேச்சுப் போட்டி (Elocution): Time required: Two hours
2 or 3 weeks before the workshop, we can give a topic to the wards through phone. We can have 2 minutes per ward on stage. Session will go for 2 hours.
Since it is a small group of 40 wards, each ward will observe what/how the other wards are speaking. It will inspire/motivate them for the further elocution.

Ward can choose one of this topic and prepare. These will look like very generic topics, but the advantage is, the wards will have lot of things/options to think and talk about. For example, they can talk about anything in the world, under the topic இயற்கை.

During this workshop, from the 40+ wards, we can pick top 5 or 10, and give another topic for the next workshop - for finals.

This is somewhat same as what Saravanamuthu is planning for inter school competition.

Nice Idea. But

• Inside Vazhai workshops we need not filter the wards for next level of competition.
  
• Filtering out stops the poor performing wards to further improve.
  
• We can always give a ranking system and finally give prices for those who scored more.
  

Can we take this results as a input and can we work with those wards who came as last ?

we can identify what is the issue with the ward?

Is he having fear / communication issue/shyness?
We can work on those issues and we should make those wards also speak well after some time..

This we can take it as a another session.
